Field Notes: why we built this hub

Open-source drone telemetry, sensing & comms

We sell and support 915 MHz radios, GPS/RTK modules, optical-flow and laser range sensors across North America — and we kept hearing the same thing from customers: the clear, practical English documentation they needed simply didn't exist. So we're writing it ourselves.

We're starting with 915 MHz telemetry radios because that's what most of our customers reach for first — and because a lot of people buy an LR900 not as a "drone part" at all, but as a dependable long-range 915 MHz serial link: RTK base-to-rover, sensor backhaul, and plain point-to-point links between two devices.

Over the coming weeks we'll expand this into a proper reference: telemetry first, then optical-flow and laser range sensing, GPS/RTK, and a set of original field notes we actually care about — antenna selection, real range-test data, connector compatibility, and buyer's guides written for North America.

If there's something you're trying to get working and the documentation you need doesn't exist yet, that's exactly the kind of thing we want to cover.
